Taipei World Trade Center

Art Expo Taiwan

2018 Art Expo Taiwan was a major international exhibition made possible by Taiwanese and overseas artists, and it’s also a grand annual event of Taiwan. Through art, it makes Taiwan stand out and invites the world in. Let the world see Taiwan and elevate Taiwan’s artistic status and power of original creations!

In this exhibition, Joyce showcased her years of experience in painting, unleashing the inherently unrestrained brushstrokes of an oil painter through vivid and colorful colors in each painting. There were many viewers who couldn’t get enough of Joyce’s special, natural and unpretentious style of painting. They saw innovative, innocent, and natural brushstrokes that are different from or cannot be found in regular exhibitions. The painting “A Journey to the Human World” especially put a smile on viewers’ faces with a baby-like innocent expression. They found the painting so touching, as if they found their true selves! In this exhibition, Joyce received incredible recognition and created a unique perspective!

Mantua, Italy

Gonzaga Museum

Mantua, Italy—A Renaissance City You’ve Never Heard Of

In 2007, Mantua was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Under the noble Gonzaga family’s rule, the city became a cultural, artistic, and musical hub in northern Italy. Renowned for its architectural treasures, artifacts, elegant palaces, and medieval Renaissance cityscapes, Mantua is a hidden gem.

This city is free from crowds of tourists and tacky souvenir shops. Every step reveals stunning architectural views and elegant palaces, making it seem like a forgotten city where time stands still. Unaffected by modern urban development, Mantua retains its original charm, continuously astounding visitors. A few years ago, the Italian environmental movement Legambiente also rated it as the most livable city.

Everywhere you look, there are domed churches, palaces, and various museums, like the Museum of Time, the Archaeological Museum, the Ducal Palace Museum and so on.

This city is a marvel, serene and untroubled by the world. Taiwanese painter Joyce Ling was honored to be invited to exhibit her work “Deck Fun” at the historically, culturally, and artistically significant Gonzaga Museum from May 26 to June 9. The exhibition is currently on display.

It is a hope that Mantua continues to be overlooked by the masses and tour groups, preserving its privacy and heritage forever. This marks an important milestone for Taiwanese art entering a Renaissance city.
