POEM
Joyce is an oil painter and also a poet. In April 2020, Joyce published an aesthetic philosophical poem collection called “And then?” This book is an enlightenment of intelligence and mind. We can see a different world when we open the window of heart. Joyce believes: We often see the outside world first, and then interpret the needs and appearance of our heart based on the outside world. However, it is not the truth, for the truth is to realize that our heart is like a dust-free mirror. We always believe only the heart that thinks and ponders on the outside world is true only because this mirror reflects the outside world for too long. However, life becomes vague when we stay in illusion for too long. We already forget that the outside world is only an illusion reflected by our inner mirror. It is not our true heart even if it can think or ponder on. It is just the mirror’s function. Therefore, the longer the mirror reflects the appearance of the outside world, the unclear and unhappier will our body and heart become. We already forget our mirror-like heart is an unchanged true image.
As a painter, Joyce is also literature fan. She wrote this book of Then What when she was not tied up by the outside world during her deeply peaceful and concentrated painting. An inner mirror shall be found for the life, and before that, the various true images of life shall be recognized first. Then, we can slowly get rid of the invented images reflected by this mirror. Joyce, the painter, wrote this book for the purpose of curing the typing pain from the obsession and unscrupulousness of the virtual world outside.
